Aberdeen Folk Club's "Summer of Music" - John Crawford and Martin MacDonald

John and Martin are both experienced performers in the twin worlds of traditional Scottish music and vintage blues and jazz. They will do two sets: in the first John will perform Scots ballads and songs with Martin performing a few pipe tunes on guitar. In the second they will adopt their alternative identities as the duo Yon Jeely Lairds, performing early blues and jazz from the likes of Bessie Smith and Jelly Roll Morton (two guitars, vocals and blues harp)
