Aberdeen Folk Club's "Summer of Music" - Alex Cummings and Ian Hamilton

A well-known feature of the local folk music scene, Aberdeen Folk Club president Alex Cummings is an accomplished singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has spent the last decade honing his craft at folk clubs, festivals, and arts events across the UK. Brought up with the songs of the Folk Revival, Alex has developed a wide and varied repertoire that includes folk, traditional, and roots music. He will perform a mixture of revitalised old favourites alongside his own original material bringing together infectious storytelling, bold tunes and poignant lyrics.

The Outsider
Ian Hamilton has been on the periphery of folk music for the last half century - largely the result of a repertoire drawn from unaccompanied Scottish ballads and Delta blues. (He plays guitar.)
