This world-famous musical, set in the aftermath of the 19th-century French Revolution, tells the story of Jean Valjean, a former convict who spends a lifetime seeking redemption for his crime of stealing a loaf of bread to feed his sister’s child.
Whilst being constantly pursued by the relentless Inspector Javert, Valjean’s quest for a new life leads him to Paris where he adopts Cosette, the daughter of Fantine, a factory worker who sacrifices everything to try and save her child. He crosses paths with Marius, who falls in love with Cosette, which leads Valjean to the barricades of the Student Revolution.
Amidst a battle for the soul of Paris, Valjean discovers the true meaning of love and salvation.
Featuring stunning music including I Dreamed A Dream, On My Own and Bring Him Home, written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, Les Misérables School Edition brings Victor Hugo’s novel bursting to life.
