Danz Creations

Danz Creations was established in 2006 by Lee Simpson and Jacqueline Dempster, whose shared vision was to create a dance school that balanced high standards of technical training with a warm, family-friendly environment. Now, almost 20 years later, it welcomes over 200 students weekly into its classes across its Aberdeen base and thriving branches in Balmedie and Kinellar.

At its core, Danz Creations is committed to nurturing the next generation of dancers — whether students attend for fun, fitness, or to pursue professional aspirations. The school offers a wide range of classes including Ballet, Tap, Highland, Scottish National, Street Dance, Modern and AcroDance, all delivered by a dedicated team of qualified instructors who bring energy, professionalism, and care to every session.

Students at Danz Creations are prepared for exams under reputable syllabus from the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD), attaining consistently high pass rates. Beyond technical excellence, the school is passionate about helping students build confidence, resilience, and creativity — qualities that extend far beyond the studio.

Lee and Jacqueline remain at the heart of the business, both as teachers and mentors. Their leadership is complemented by a close-knit and enthusiastic team of Niki Mair and Laura Black who each contribute to the school’s welcoming and supportive ethos. The school is proud of its strong parent relationships and community spirit, which have been integral to its success and growth.

Over the years, Danz Creations has received numerous accolades in both competitive and performance settings. Students have successfully auditioned for prestigious external opportunities and other national-level training platforms.
