Show Us a Trick, Win a Treat!
We’re on the lookout for the most marvellous, mischievous and merry tricks in Aberdonia!
To celebrate our brand-new pantomime Robin Hood (running 29 November – 24 December 2025), we’re giving you the chance to win one of two family ticket bundles — that’s 4 tickets per winner to see the merriest show in the land!
And since it’s Halloween week, we want you to show us a trick... and we’ll give you a treat! 🎃✨
How to Enter
We’re calling on all merry men (and women!) to show off your party trick.
Whether you can:
- tell a cracking joke,
- perform a bit of magic,
- do the splits,
- roll your tongue,
- or even juggle like our very own Robin Hood cast…
we want to see it!
Here’s what to do:
- Post a short video of your party trick on Facebook or Instagram between Mon 27 – Fri 31 October.
- Tag Aberdeen Arts Centre in your post.
- Make sure your post is public, so we can see your entry!
Two winners will each receive a Family Ticket (4 seats) to Robin Hood, valid for any performance (excluding 19–24 December).
Winners will be announced on Monday 3 November on our pages and contacted via DM.
About Robin Hood
This year’s panto takes us deep into Tyrebagger Wood, where local hero Rabbie Hood is robbin’ fae the rich and givin’ tae the poor! With the Sheriff of Aberdonia up to no guid, Maid Marian in charge, and Nurse Little Joan on the lookout for love, it’s a festive adventure full o’ Doric banter, daft jokes, dazzling dancing, and hunners of laughs!
Join us from 29 November – 24 December 2025 for a show bursting wi’ local magic, family fun, and plenty o’ sparkle.
Tips from the Sheriff
(Because she loves rules…)
- Be creative! Your trick can be funny, silly, clever, or downright daft.
- Keep videos short (under 30 seconds).
- Make sure you tag Aberdeen Arts Centre and your post is public — or we canna see it!
- Have fun — it’s panto season after all!
So come on, show us fit ye’ve got!
Post your trick, tag us, and get ready for a right royal treat.
Terms & Conditions
Aberdeen Arts Centre
Opens Monday 27 October 2025 and closes at 11:59pm on Friday 31 October 2025.
- Post a short video showing your party trick (for example: telling a joke, doing a magic trick, balancing, singing, dancing, etc.) on Facebook or Instagram.
- Tag Aberdeen Arts Centre in your post and ensure your post is public so we can view your entry.
- Open to anyone able to attend a performance of Robin Hood at Aberdeen Arts Centre.
- Entrants must be aged 16 or over, or have parent/guardian consent.
- Employees and volunteers at Aberdeen Arts Centre or TaleGate Theatre Productions - and direct family members - are not eligible to enter.
- Two winners will each receive one Family Ticket (4 seats) to Robin Hood (running 29 November – 24 December 2025).
- Tickets are valid for any performance excluding 19–24 December 2025.
- Seats will be allocated by Aberdeen Arts Centre (best available at time of booking).
- Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value.
- Entries will be judged by the Aberdeen Arts Centre team based on creativity, entertainment, and effort.
- Winners will be announced on Monday 3 November 2025 via Aberdeen Arts Centre’s Facebook and Instagram pages and contacted directly by DM.
- By entering, participants grant Aberdeen Arts Centre permission to share or repost their entry video on official social media channels, with credit.
- This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
- Aberdeen Arts Centre reserves the right to remove or disqualify entries that are inappropriate or offensive.
- The judges’ decision is final.
