Celebrating
No need to Call the Midwife - Laura Main's already here!
We were delighted to welcome Laura Main for a tour of her old stomping ground this afternoon - she debuted on stage with Phoenix Theatre in 1990, playing the title role in a production of Annie at Aberdeen Arts Centre.
From those first steps on our stage, Laura has had an incredible career including starring in hit BBC drama Call the Midwife (which won Best Family Drama at the 2025 TV Choice Awards for the 10th consecutive year!); starring as Princess Fiona in the UK tour of Shrek; and winning a Strictly Come Dancing Children in Need special!
It just goes to show that when you get involved in the arts, you never know where it'll take you!
Huge thanks to Laura for taking the time to pop in and say hello! You're welcome back any time!
Phoenix Youth Theatre returns to our stage with Annie this June! Get your tickets here.
