In our Drama (8-11ish) sessions, your child will explore who they are as a creative individual and learn how to express themselves confidently. Through drama games, teamwork, and creative activities, they’ll develop their own voice and learn to collaborate with others to create exciting performances.

Why Join?
This class provides a fantastic opportunity for wee ones to explore the world of drama. They’ll engage in improvisation, devising their own stories, and working with their peers to create something unique. Young people will develop new skills, discover their creative potential, and grow in confidence - all while having fun in a supportive, imaginative environment.
What to Expect
Your child will gain a variety of skills that nurture their creativity and self-expression. They’ll take part in drama games that encourage collaboration and creative thinking, while also exploring improvisation and devising to create their own characters and stories. The class will teach them the fundamentals of scriptwork, helping them bring written text to life.
They’ll also develop movement and vocal techniques, learning how to use their body and voice to convey emotions and ideas. Through teamwork and ensemble work, they’ll build valuable collaboration skills by working together to create shared performances.

Meet Your Facilitators
Aedan Dufton, Creative Learning Assistant
Aedan is a NESCol graduate with an HNC in Acting and Performance. He is now an aspiring actor, working on various projects across Scotland - alongside his role as creative learning assistant at Aberdeen Arts Centre.
Recently, he has worked on TV and stage productions, as well as tackling creative script writing and producing an indie film.
Throughout his work in the Arts Centre, he wants to help inspire and motivate the next generation of actors to show them that it's ok to freely express their creativity.
