Developed by the FBI in the 1970s, Criminal Profiling is used in countless serial murder investigations globally. Using information about a crime, crime scenes, and victims, profilers compose behavioural profiles of wanted. The general public believes profiling to be a reliable and valid scientific way of investigating serial crimes, but the reality is far from that.
Professor Jackson has contributed to over 50 documentaries about violent crimes and murder, and here he reveals evidence showing profiling has never resulted in the identification, apprehension and conviction of serial murderers. He has worked to assist investigations into serial rape, murder, and missing people.

We are based in a building which was not originally designed with accessibility in mind, but we have adjusted our facilities to ensure step-free access to the venue and all audience areas, including the main auditorium.
Step-free / ramped access is available via the 'Stage Door' entrance, accessible from Queen Street. Once you enter the building via the Stage Door entrance, you'll find a second door, beside which is a call button for contacting venue staff, who will provide access to the building.
Once inside the venue, all ground floor event spaces and the Café Bar have step-free access, and the Main Auditorium (located on the upper floor) is accessible via passenger lift. Accessible toilet facilities are also available.
We currently have 2 wheelchair spaces in the Main Auditorium and 4 step-free seats for those who wish to use them.
The building is open 30 minutes before any scheduled performance or event.
Performances will be due to start at the time advertised — this will be printed on your ticket. We will be open approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
The vast majority of shows and events in the Main Auditorium of Aberdeen Arts Centre will have assigned seating for all audience members. Check your ticket for details on your row and seat number.
