Aberdeen University Dance Society

What started as a group of fewer than 20, dancing four times a week, Aberdeen University Dance Society has since flipped its world upside down. From humble beginnings back in 2007, the team has transformed to one that has over 25 tutors and captains, teaches over 20 classes a week, and can now call itself one of the largest active communities the University has to offer.

Aberdeen University Dance Society brings together a diverse range of styles from ballet and contemporary to hip hop, Highland and many more. Whether you're searching for a new way to jazz up your schedule, refine your technique or simply meet likeminded people, this society creates a space where everyone can find their rhythm.

Beyond its weekly classes, the society offers exciting opportunities to perform and compete throughout the year. Its annual end of year show quickly becomes the marker of a creative and vibrant event that embodies the power of performance. And for those wanting to step further into the spotlight, the society’s audition-based competition team regularly embarks across the UK, not only representing the talent of some of Aberdeen’s grooviest dance community but also bringing home multiple first place titles!
